National Pro Fastpitch Partners with She Plays
League Gains Greater Visibility, Financial Support and Fan Engagement from New Women’s Sports Platform

[Orlando, FL]: The National Pro Fastpitch League (NPF) today announced a new partnership with She Plays. This partnership will allow greater visibility and financial support for the league, and through the partnership they will become an official fantasy league offering on the She Plays platform. She Plays will also provide a new level of engagement for fans and followers of the well-established professional softball league.

“What better way to launch the new decade of professional softball, than to invite our incredible fans to GM their own NPF teams,” commented NPF Commissioner, Cheri Kempf. “We know that women represent over a third of the fifty million plus fantasy sports participants and we know that softball is a fun and exciting sport in which to participate. This partnership with She Plays will enable us to blend our players and fans like never before, and allow our fans to have an elevated participation experience. We are both proud and excited to launch this product with the enablement of She Plays and we look forward to watching this product grow.”

“We are incredibly excited to partner with the NPF to provide fantasy sports to their fans,” says Ashley Hart, CEO & Co-Founder of She Plays. “The NPF is a long-standing professional league in the United States that is home to the best softball players in the world. We are so excited to partner with the league to continue engaging long-time fans and help bring in new fans through a fantasy sports offering.”

The benefits of this new partnership include:

  • The NPF offered as an official fantasy league for fantasy players around the US when the 2020 season begins.
  • NPF will share revenue of all season-long, private league fees from She Plays for NPF play on the site.
  • The NPF will receive special promotion on She Plays: The Podcast, the weekly feature podcast from She Plays.

The NPF will lead off its 17th season in April. National Pro Fastpitch announced the 2020 season schedule will take on an original, and brand new look for the league, placing competition inside a Series Event model designed for multi-team competition. The new model will see regular season format change from one-on-one match-ups, to a multi-team format that will include a minimum of three teams. The teams will play each other in a pre-designed, fairly matched layout, which will ultimately determine a winner for each series.

Standings will be based on a weighted point system that will award points for both head to head, and series wins. The complete 2020 regular season schedule will be released in the coming weeks.
