Ashley is an avid sports fan, participant and fantasy sports player. She grew up playing basketball, soccer and golf and continues to dabble in those three today. She most recently attended an adult soccer camp led by Ali Krieger, a two-time World Cup Champion and Orlando Pride star defender.
Ashley earned a double Bachelor of Arts degree from Wake Forest in Spanish and Religion. She spent a year working in Spain after college and then entered into the nonprofit industry for a decade. She became an Area Director for Young Life, essentially running her own nonprofit and managing teams of people who covered finance, customer service, human resources, marketing, event planning, etc.
Joy grew up playing basketball, and continued playing through high school, adding field hockey and lacrosse along the way. In college she transitioned to running, covering distances up to a marathon (26.2 miles) and even winning a local 10k for her age bracket.
Joy graduated with a B.S. in Health and Exercise Science, evidence of the continuing importance of sports in her life. After volunteering in South America, Joy worked full-time in healthcare SaaS applications, sales operations/marketing, and change management, while obtaining her Project Management Professional (PMP), Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, and most recently her MBA from IE Business School in Madrid. Joy enjoys running, baking, and playing with her adorable golden doodle, Honey.
Stephanie grew up playing sports year-round and competed at the varsity level in alpine ski racing, indoor and outdoor track, tennis, soccer, and was even on the women’s ice hockey team for a season. Her love of sports continued in college mostly through running and she has enjoyed running races from 5ks to 50ks, as well as staying engaged through sports like soccer and tennis through city club leagues, pick-up games, and friendly matches with family and friends.
Stephanie graduated from Wake Forest with a degree in Communication and International Studies. After volunteering in South America, Stephanie returned to a role in marketing at a national advisory company in Washington DC. She earned her Master’s degree in Health & Strategic Communication at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she enjoyed cheering for the Tar Heels. Stephanie now works in strategic marketing and communications. In her free time, Stephanie enjoys running, hiking (and really anything outdoors), and trying to keep up with her two little boys.
